Yacht Club Games Audio Interview

Recently, Tony and I had a chance to chat with a few people from Yacht Club Games; the studio behind the upcoming Shovel Knight. We recorded the whole thing since we figured y'all might want to listen. We asked them a few questions about Shovel Knight, indie game development and bad puns. I always enjoy chatting with developers and learning about how games are made. Thanks again to Nick (a.k.a. Woz), Sean, Erin and Ian for taking the time to talk to us. Be advised, the audio levels on this one are a little rough. The four members from the yacht club were huddled around a laptop's built in mic. I did the best I could to clean it up but there are spots when things are garbled.

Nintendo Okie Podcast - Episode 162

We have a long show with a good sized interview tacked on the end. Y’all get a Big Mac of a podcast; hold the special sauce because what even is that? This week, along with Tony, Shannon and myself talking about food and games, we are joined by Edward Di Geronimo Jr. from Saturnine Games. Ed talks about game development as well as Saturnine Games’ upcoming title, Turtle Tale. No Micah again this week. That guy sure seems to go to a lot of “birthday parties.”

Starring – Tony, Shannon, Ed, Shelby
Run time – 2:21:49

To keep up with Saturnine Games, check out their website, Facebook page and their Twitter. If you want to keep up with us (I’m not really sure why) you can try our website, Facebook page, Twitter account, YouTube channel and our forum. Yeah, I just linked to our own site? You want to fight about it?

Nintendo Okie Podcast - Episode 161

I don’t know what kind of bait you were using, pal, but you landed yourself a whopper; and I don’t mean the candy or the burger. This week’s episode of the Okie cast features special guest TJ Lutz from Pwnee Studios. As expected, we talk about all our normal stuff and then a whole lot about Pwnee’s upcoming game, Cloudberry Kingdom. You should listen because this is a pretty good show. Not like those other sub-standard podcasts we normally make.

Starring – Tony, Shannon, Micah, TJ, Shelby
Run time – 2:20:56

To learn more about Cloudberry or Pwnee, follow these handy links; website, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook.  If you want to know something about us, use these dandy links; Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, forum and podcast@nintendo-okie.com.

Nintendo Okie Podcast - Episode 160

What time is it? Podcast o’clock! Join us as we talk about video games and food. Why do we talk about food so much? It always makes me hungry. Anyway, this week Shannon tries to spread his yo-yo addiction, Tony thinks his internet crashes, I burst into spontaneous song and Micah doesn’t show up. That, folks, is what we call a podcast.

Starring – Tony, Shannon, Shelby
Run time – 1:55:15

Just like many faithful listeners before you, send an email to podcast@nintendo-okie.com and we will read it on the show. Also, send us some pictures of food or something. You can tweet them to us on Twitter, post them on our Facebook group or post them on our forum. You could probably find a way to show via YouTube. You can share videos or something. Probably.

Nintendo Okie Podcast - Episode 159

If this podcast were a house, you wouldn’t want to live in it. I’m not exactly sure what that means so I hope you understood it. Once again, we delve into the world of video games and manage to make it out on the other side. If you want to hear about the following, stay tuned: Power Of Illusion, Monster Hunter Ultimate 3, Super Jeopardy, Harmoknight, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Square Enix’s financial status, the Retron 5, slow sales of the Wii U and Japanese Subways (the eat fresh kind).

Starring – Tony, Micah, Shannon, Shelby
Run time – 1:48:52

As with other podcasts, you can get in touch with us in several ways; podcast@nintendo-okie.com, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and our forum.
